Satellite Coffee Expansion
Sellite Coffee announced today that they will be opening a new cafe at 7600 Jefferson NE. This will be Satellite’s sixth location, making it one of the largest locally owned and operated coffee companies in the state. The new cafe is currently set to open early 2019.
“2018 marks our 20th year in business,” said Jean Bernstein, owner of Satellite Coffee. “We’re very proud of our New Mexican roots, and with this new location we will continue to show people why serving locally roasted coffee makes all the difference in the world!”
Satellite offers a wide variety of drinks – from cafe classics like their mocha and cappuccino, to unique signature drinks like the Turkish Latte and the über caffeinated Black Velvet. “We have very high standards for our products,” said Bernstein. “We roast responsibly sourced beans and use hormone and antibiotic free milk, along with our extensive line of organic loose leaf teas. We’re happy to offer our customers some of the best drinks in the city.” Satellite also boasts a robust food menu that includes sandwiches, salads, wraps, and pastries. “All of our food is homemade and is brought in fresh daily,” said Bernstein.
The decision to expand was an easy one for the brand. “We knew right away that this location would be the perfect place for a Satellite,” Bernstein said. “We’re excited to bring fresh food and drinks to all of the people who work in the area, and the cafe offers a beautiful outdoor space that we will use for patio seating. We want to create a place where people can meet colleagues, grab a quick and delicious lunch on the go, or just sit and watch the world go by.”
At the same time, Satellite is continuing improvements at their existing locations as part of an ongoing effort to make the cafes even more comfortable and inviting. Updates include new furniture and upholstery, fresh paint colors, and modern signage that features the brand’s sleek “bean and leaf” logo.
“During our time in business we’ve seen lots of cafes come and go, but we’re so grateful to have been able to serve the Albuquerque community for so long.” said Bernstein. “We attribute our success to our commitment to quality and service. Because we’re a local business, we’ve always had to try harder in order to compete with national chains. But it’s a challenge we enjoy and one that we look forward to meeting for years to come!”
